In the north of the county you will find Bedruthen Steps which is a large sandy beach with some beautiful views. Boobsy Bay has a wide sandy beach and is popular amongst surfers. Bude has a popular beach and a tidal swimming pool. Chapel Porth is a popular destination for families.
In South East Cornwall Looe beach is very popular with visitors especially families. Whitsand beach is regarded as the most popular beach in the whole of the South West. Polperro and Lansallos beaches offer somewhere a little bit more secluded.
Mid Cornwall has a wide range of beaches where you can choose from small pretty coves to huge expanses of sand. Swanpool is a pretty sand cove near Falmouth. Carne Beach has a hunge expanse of sandy beach. Par sands has always been a popular spot for families.
The Lizard is the peninsula in West Cornwall and offers a number of wonderful beaches including Church Cove, Gunwalloe, Cadgwith and many more besides.
In West Cornwall you can find large expanses of sand like that at Mounts Bay or small private coves such as Lamorna. For surfers Sennen Cove offers some great waves.
