Ryanair is a European low-cost airline that is based in Ireland, however they also have offices in the United Kingdom. They currently own a fleet of more than 230 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and are known to be the largest low-cost European air carrier. They are the largest airline in terms of international passengers in the world.

Ryanair’s fares are very low due to Ryanair discount codes which is one of the special cost-reduction measures that the airline employs. For example, travellers are required to do their check-in online and print their boarding passes by themselves. They also operate as a “no-frills” airline, featuring simple, non-reclining seats on their airplanes, no pockets on the back of seats as well as the safety cards inserted on the back of the seats. All their flights are sold as point-to-point with no connections.

While Ryanair flies to many routes across Europe and Morocco, most of their flights depart and arrive at smaller, regional or secondary airports. This is because those airports often provide airlines with landing and handling costs that are far lower than those at major airports. For example, Ryanair does not have flights to Paris’ main airport, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, but instead uses the Paris Beauvais airport, which is located 85 km away from the city. They are constantly looking to find new, more cost-effective routes for their passengers.

At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs! We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

Beer is a village located on the South east coast of Devon on Lyme Bay. The village is on the Jurassic coast and is part of the countries first natural world heritage site. The village is approximately 25 miles from the city of Exeter and has the advantage of it being protected by its shape from the prevailing western winds.

The name Beer is not derived from the drink but from the old English word ‘Bearu’ which means a small wood or grove.

One of Beers most important and famous attractions is its Quarry caves. The manmade caves are vast and were first worked by the Romans. The stone that was removed was used to build over 24 cathedrals including Exeter and St. Pauls. The blocks of stone were quarried by hand and transported by horse and carts around the country. Beer stone was very sought after by masons due to its easiness to carve and hardness when exposed to air. A guided tour is now available that gives people an insight into the workings of the quarry from roman times up until its demise in the beginning of the 20th century.

The town’s main income in the past has been both fishing and lace making. Fishing boats where winched up onto the beach as the village did not have a harbour attached. These old fashioned winch and pulley systems are still visible on the beach, but these days tractors or an electric winches are used.

Beer is still famous for fishing especially its locally caught crabs, many fishing boats can be chartered and offer visitors the chance to experience fresh water fishing in a wonderful setting.

One great advantage with Devon Holidays is that there is so much to explore and discover that you can return year after year and still not see all you had planned.

As with many of the Devonshire coastal town’s beer has had a close association with smuggling throughout its history. It is said that Beer grew as a village through its smuggling roots, with its many cliff faces and alcoves giving ideal hiding spots for smugglers and their contraband.

With so much to do and experience within the village it’s no wonder that people return year after year to caravan holidays in and around the area. Families, couples and even the elderly will have a great time in Devon, and you’ll be back again too.

Located around the lower Tamar River the Tamar valley stretches out over 75 square miles and was first proposed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1963 but not designated until 1995. The Tamar valley’s classification as an AONB means it has significant landscape value within the Country and the community are actively encouraged to help with conservation.

The estuary and grasslands of the Tamar Valley play a very important role in supporting endangered wildlife within the West Country. One of the largest nature reserves is in Morwellham and is set beside the Tamar River and is home to many rare plants, wildlife and habitats. The reserve covers over 27 acres of wetlands, woodland and riverbanks and hosts a huge selection of rural birdlife from kingfishers to birds of prey. Many keen birdwatchers use their Family Holiday Cornwall to indulge in their interests and will usually visit the Tamar Valley’s information centre to get a list of areas of interest before setting out to explore.

The area in and around the Tamar valley has long since had a large connection with the mining industry. A large amount of mining took place in the area during the industrial revolution. The Mines between Gunnislake and Weir quay used the river to transport copper from ports such as Morwellham Quay. Because of the Tamar Valley’s rich heritage a project has been set up to preserve and showcase its rich mining history. Through this project the valleys historical chimneys, mines and factories have been safeguarded for future generations to enjoy and investigate.

A great example of Tamar valley’s heritage being brought back to life is the Morewellham Quay centre. Visitors can explore this historic port which has been preserved and turned into an open air museum. The attraction boasts its own railway that travels through abandoned mines and gives a great insight into Victorian industrial and rural life through the use of actors and exhibitions.

Walking, cycling, horse-riding, sailing, canoeing and even river cruises are just some of the ways to enjoy the sights and features of the Tamar valley. Another fascinating way would be the Tamar Valley Branch railway which runs into the heart of the area; the 14 mile scenic branch line runs from Plymouth to Bere Ferrers, Bere Alston, Calstock and Gunnislake. With wonderful views of the countryside this train journey is highly recommended and is often used by walkers who mix train rides to explore between stations.

With so many locations, sights and attractions to visit within the area visitors can be assured that there is an abundance of accommodation ranging from hotels to Cottages in Cornwall.

Families staying in a Bath bed and breakfast have a vast choice of great things to see and do from witches to Romans and a myriad of things in between Bath has plenty of surprises for visitors.

The Roman Baths are of course Bath most famous attraction. These ancient baths and temple were built around the UK’s only natural thermal spring. Today you can explore the museum with its amazing artefacts and walk in the footsteps of the ancient Romans, you might even get to meet one or two Romans along the way.

At Drive-Tech the whole family can enjoy some motoring fun. Here you can put your skills to the test on a 350m outdoor karting track, pick up a few skid control techniques and have a go at some 4×4 off road driving.

At Wookey Hole you can find Britain’s most spectacular caves as well as the legendary Wookey Hole Witch. At Wookey you can wonder through the valley of the dinosaurs, but beware that King Kong is on the prowl! After your encounters with dinosaurs and King Kong its time to relax in the fairy garden and try out the many amusements and exhibitions on offer.

The Fleet Air Arm Museum contains the largest collection of naval aircraft in all of Europe. The museum houses a fascinating array of aircrafts including the first British Concorde, which you are even allowed to board. If that wasn’t enough they also have a nuclear bomb!

Not far from Bath you can find one of Britain’s most famous stately homes Longleat. Not only is Longleat famed for its beautiful house but also for its Safari Park, which is regarded as one of the best in the UK. The safari park contains a whole host of animals and attractions from lions to monkeys and so many more in between.

There are so many more attractions in and around Bath that one holiday is never enough to experience them all, which is probably just as well as the beautiful city will no doubt draw you back again for many more visits.

We all dream about our perfect holidays. And how many of those dreams include islands? In my case, almost all of them. Be it a long weekend by the beach on a small island, a holiday cruise around the Mediterranean Sea or a long holiday in a somewhat larger island, it’s really all I can think about when it comes to Summer holidays. Sure enough, I like my holidays to be a little more cultured with sightseeing and historical sites involved, but when it comes to Summer and heat, the last thing I want to be doing is anything but swimming in the ocean, going to dry off in a towel, repeated about a thousand times.

But what great islands are there to visit? Well, I can only speak for limited experience, but I’ve been to a few. And although I never really disliked any, here’s some of the ones I likes the most.

Gran Canaria is, simply put, awesome. Holidays to Gran Canaria are holidays where you’ll never get bored, simply because the island has so much to offer. Be it amazing beaches or an amazing landscape behind them, really good food and wine and lots of stuff to do when you leave your hotel room, there’s nothing that can go wrong there.

In fact, any Canary Island holidays has the potential to be amazing. Check out Tenerife as well, it’s just stellar.

Another of my personal favorites is Majorca. It’s far enough from Ibiza that you don’t hear the droning of dance music (I’m actually joking, Ibiza is also really beautiful and there are ways to avoid the raver crowd), but close enough to have all its beauty. The entire Baleares Islands have a very similar climate and they’re all just a ferry ride away from the coast of Spain, if you happen to either want to visit or you have an aversion to flying. Also, it’s cheap to rent a car there and travel all over the island, which is one of my favorite things to do.

Finally, no island article is complete without mentioning the Greek islands. And there’s one name that immediately jumps to mind: Santorini. This island really doesn’t seem to have the makings of a beautiful Summer resort: it lacks decent water supply, it’s small and it can get a little crowded. But you take a look at its port or you take a walk along its streets, and it’s just one of the most charming places in the World.

Greece is known for many things, from its amazing beaches to its food. Greek cuisine is among the most unique in the World, blending in influences from Ancient Greece, Turkish and Muslim Cuisine and Western influences. Its landscape is a blend of amazing beaches and high peaks, making its climate the envy of so many countries. Speaking of envy, the Mediterranean Sea is a common sight from many points in Greece, and its waters are among the most beautiful and warmest in the World. This, of course, makes Greece a primary target destination for holidays. And the crowning jewels of Greece are its islands. Sure the mainland is beautiful in itself, especially the amazing capital of Athens with its historical buildings and bustling life, but the islands are just something else. There are many different groups of islands, some small, but others really big, like Crete. It’s often not easy to find accommodation in Greek islands during the Summer months. There’s a Greek rule of thumb that says that the busy islands will have a lot of hotels, but most will be booked, but the small, lesser known islands will have less hotels and perhaps all of them will be booked. The Greeks travel quite a lot between their islands, as they will often have temporary or holiday housing in an island of their choice, often close wo wherever they live on the mainland.

There’s a huge market for holidays in Greece. You can just as easy find cheap Crete holidays as you are likely to find expensive all inclusive cruises along the Greek islands. The Greeks themselves are very likely to take most of the good deals as they come along, as travel agencies are all over Greece, especially in Athens. In fact, if you want to find really good deals, and you’re feeling adventurous, staying in Athens for a few days and looking around for last minute deals is one of the ways to do it. Another, probably safer one, is to check Dealchecker for cheap holidays.

DealChecker is an amazing website for any traveler, but especially the one on a budget. There you can find deals on hotels and on flights to wherever you’re travelling. This means that in the same website you can compare different dates and find out which ones are best for traveling and accommodation. Plus, you can get pretty good deals on car rentals and on travelling insurance.
