Family Attractions around Bath

Families staying in a Bath bed and breakfast have a vast choice of great things to see and do from witches to Romans and a myriad of things in between Bath has plenty of surprises for visitors.

 The Roman Baths are of course Bath most famous attraction. These ancient baths and temple were built around the UK’s only natural thermal spring. Today you can explore the museum with its amazing artefacts and walk in the footsteps of the ancient Romans, you might even get to meet one or two Romans along the way.

 At Drive-Tech the whole family can enjoy some motoring fun. Here you can put your skills to the test on a 350m outdoor karting track, pick up a few skid control techniques and have a go at some 4×4 off road driving.

 At Wookey Hole you can find Britain’s most spectacular caves as well as the legendary Wookey Hole Witch. At Wookey you can wonder through the valley of the dinosaurs, but beware that King Kong is on the prowl! After your encounters with dinosaurs and King Kong its time to relax in the fairy garden and try out the many amusements and exhibitions on offer.

The Fleet Air Arm Museum contains the largest collection of naval aircraft in all of Europe. The museum houses a fascinating array of aircrafts including the first British Concorde, which you are even allowed to board. If that wasn’t enough they also have a nuclear bomb!

 Not far from Bath you can find one of Britain’s most famous stately homes Longleat. Not only is Longleat famed for its beautiful house but also for its Safari Park, which is regarded as one of the best in the UK. The safari park contains a whole host of animals and attractions from lions to monkeys and so many more in between.

 There are so many more attractions in and around Bath that one holiday is never enough to experience them all, which is probably just as well as the beautiful city will no doubt draw you back again for many more visits.
