A Summer in Dorset

England has an extensive coast line, with many counties to spend your vacation. From the north, to the south, you can find secluded beaches and holiday resorts. Cornwall, Dorset, and Kent, for example, all have beautiful landscape and calm bays to visit. Whether you’re in England for business, or primarily to vacation, you can relax near the calm English Channel coast.

Dorset has sandy bays and beaches, with stunning cliff formations. Durdle Door, for example, is one of this counties most popular tourist attractions. You can also see one of many castles, hill forts,  manor houses, and historical landmarks. Don’t let this county’s rich history and preserved relics fool you, though. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping opportunities, and other modern attractions to enjoy. Museums, art galleries, and live music can also be enjoyed in this diverse county.

Dorset is most known by far for it’s Jurassic Coast. It has been named a World Heritage Site, and invites tourists from all around to world to experience a piece of history. It is also known for it’s long history of human settlement, as well as archaeology.
